lessons from a mosaic
BE PRESENT
When creating a mosaic, the artist focuses on one tile at a time. Being present is a skill that provides an opportunity to embrace setbacks as well as joys.
BIG PICTURE
Just like each tile in a mosaic (even a broken piece) adds up to make a unique and beautiful picture, little moments and experiences matter and often shape our lives overtime to create a larger picture.
NEGATIVE SPACE
In a mosaic, the grout in between tiles is called negative space. Just as grout in a mosaic brings the design together to see the big picture, rest or empty space in life allow us to integrate experiences and maintain balance.
CREATION & CURATION
Each artist has their own approach to creating and curating the mosaic. You can be empowered to create and curate a life of wholeness despite challenges.
