Behavior in children (both positive and negative) is communication. Seeking to understand your child’s ever evolving thoughts and feelings takes perspective, emotional regulation, and support on our part as parents. My approach to child therapy engages the family system, while considering ways to coach social and emotional skills with your child.

Therapy offers a neutral and curious space to help you and your deeply feeling child practice emotional regulation, while preserving connection in your relationship.

Therapy for tweens and teens can be an avenue to help them build emotional resilience, grow into their ability to cope with transitions, problem-solve, and communicate in relationships. This stage brings a lot of change and is a significant time for identity development as they navigate peer relationships and face opportunities to manage their time and interests.

Therapy provides an empathetic space to address mental health concerns like anxiety, depression, trauma, or simply learning ways to cope with life’s difficulties.

Flamingo mothers lose their pink color while caring for their young, only regaining it as their babies grow. Similarly, as human moms, we sometimes feel like we lose part of ourselves while raising small children. Though we love being mothers, we may miss who we used to be. Like the flamingo, our color will return as we find balance and self-compassion.

Anxiety, depression, and past traumas can arise during any season of motherhood and catch some moms by surprise. Therapy offers support and a safe place to express all the ups and downs.

$150 per session

Social-emotional skills (for humans of all ages) are widely researched, highly interconnected, and mutually reinforcing. This means learning one skill has transferrable benefits to other skills. If you learn to be more mindful, you can learn to respond rather than react, practice the ability to slow down, then improve your communication with others.

A resourcing session provides embodied learning to build skills for lifelong emotional regulation. These are not mean to replace therapy, yet can be complementary to your own therapy journey.

CREATIVE WELLNESS PROGRAMMING

A creative wellness program is a one-time experience or series of facilitated experiences that integrate process-based art and mental health education to foster individual and collective well-being.

Programming may benefit schools, churches, organizations, small businesses, and other types of groups or communities.
